Hello Alex,

As always, thank you for another version of Gqrx!  Curious, is the readme.md file current and still represent all the same requirements to build from scratch (Centos 6.8 user here):

   - GnuRadio 3.7 ( is 3.7.9 ok?) - This would be with an AirSpy v2 for my needs
   - Qt 5 ( any issue with 5.6.1?)

Hi David,

I don't think anything has changed there, so the same libraries that
worked with 2.6 should work with 27.

Hello Alex,

Just updated to the new version 2.7 as described on http://gqrx.dk/download/install-ubuntu
I'm running Linuix Mint 18.2 and RTL-SDR.
After the last step in the above doc I started from the clean config by running gqrx -r in the console
and selected Realtek RTL2838UHIDIR device then pressed OK.
Unfortunately gqrx gives the following error and refused to start:

gqrx: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgnuradio-osmosdr.so.0.1.5git: undefined symbol: rtlsdr_set_bias_tee

Can you please suggest what can be done to correct this?

Thank you,
Ivan

Oh, it looks like I need to update librtlsdr also. Will do it shortly, sorry

Sorry, but I have updated the rtl-sdr package, so it must be
somoething at your end. Can you check that you have
librtlsdr0_0.5.3.17-myriadrf1 installed?

Thanks for pointing out.

In addition to:
$ sudo apt-get install librtlsdr0
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
librtlsdr0 is already the newest version (0.5.3.17-myriadrf1~xenial).

There were also files from an older release:

/usr/local/lib/librtlsdr.so
/usr/local/lib/librtlsdr.so.0.5git
/usr/local/lib/librtlsdr.so.0

After deleting them and running ldconfig all if working now.

Thank you!

Things in /usr/local/ are compiled from source. You should probably
check what else you have lying around there as they may cause
conflicts.

I cant seem to find the .DMG compiler hear. Theres no disk image that I can run to update to the newest update, at least not that I can see, can you possibly send the link for mac? It only shows me .tar.GZ files.

No, it is a general update., but it requires additional time to build
a Mac OS X binary. I do not have that time right now. That's all.

ok because I was surprised when it said one of the updates were voiceover support and then no mac update.
Thanks for what your doing, I know it takes time and plus you more than likely have a job outside of this stuff, so I understand.

James,

You already have the voiceover improvements in the snapshot build I
made few months ago. Nothing new has happened in that area.

Hi Alex,

I am using the gqrx software with USB dongle TV Tuner Receiver Stick that has "RTL2838U+R820T" in it.  But when I ran test "rtl_test -t" I got "No supported tuner found" (see below)?  Do you know what was the problem here?  Do I need to install other drivers or something?

Thanks,
Simon

Found 1 device(s):
  0:  Realtek, RTL2838UHIDIR, SN: 00000001

Using device 0: Generic RTL2832U OEM
Detached kernel driver
No supported tuner found
Enabled direct sampling mode, input 1
Supported gain values (1): 0.0
Sampling at 2048000 S/s.
No E4000 tuner found, aborting.
Reattached kernel driver

"rtl_test -h" says that the -t option enables Elonics E4000 test.
However, not all RTL-dongles come with such tuner. In fact, most
dongles today are with R820T or R820T2 tuners, so hence the error you
get.

Just run rtl_test without any options.
