Hi Arnie W8DU - What you've installed is "just" MacPorts itself, nothing
else; 'port' should be installed into /opt/local/bin. You can verify
this via:
{{{
ls -lAF /opt/local/bin/port
}}}
If so, then you'll want to change your shell login to include something
like:
{{{
export PATH=/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:$PATH
}}}
Once that's in place, you'll need to selfupdate 'port':
{{{
sudo port selfupdate
}}}
And, once that's done, you can install Gqrx via:
{{{
sudo port install gqrx
}}}
Now, go off and get some coffee (or beer, or go for a run / bike, or
read a good book, or sleep overnight, or ...) because it's going to take
a few hours (or more) to download and install everything needed for Gqrx
to run. If this step fails, make a note of the port that's causing the
issue (PORT), then do:
{{{
sudo port clean PORT
sudo port install PORT
}}}
and if that works, then go back to
{{{
sudo port install gqrx
}}}
Keep repeating as needed.
Once that's done (assuming it succeeded), then you can execute gqrx
either from the command line in a shell via "gqrx", or via the Mac .app
found in:
{{{
/Applications/MacPorts/Qt4/Gqrx.app
}}}
Hope this helps! - MLD
