Is google_sql.jar completely JDBC compliant

Hi, 

I have back-end which is built as per JDBC standards where I can use DB2, oracle, mysql drivers and successfully interact with respective applications.

Can I use google_sql.jar as driver to connect to Google cloud sql seamlessly ? ( FYI - I tried the same steps what I used to for DB2 or oracle, it did not work ).

Is it completely different or minor setting would get going?

And in what step did it fail?
