Interstitial(Video) delay call onAdClosed() method

Hi,

I see delay after press "Skip Ads" or press key Back to close ads. Delay for 2 seconds then call onAdClosed (). This issue only occurs with interstitial ads containing video.

It does not delay when I use test ad at the page: https://developers.google.com/admob/android/test-ads?hl=en

But when I use any APP ID and INTERSTITIAL AD UNIT in my admob account, it delay 2 seconds.

I tried sdk 26, 28, and play-services-ads: 16.0.0, 17.1.3 .... and run app on virtual machine device, real machine (samsung s8)

Hi Linh,

If you refer to the attached video recording of my testing, I was able to load an Interstitial Video Ad using your Ad Unit Id and bundle Id but I didn't encounter the delay behavior you experienced when closing the ad. On my end, when I click on the back button, the Ad closes immediately without 2 seconds delay.

Given these, since you mentioned that you only encounter the delay behavior when loading particular ads (coincidently when using your bundle Id) but is not reproducible with other ads (coincidently when using another bundle Id), then this seems to be more of an Ad creative specific concern rather than anything specific to the Mobile Ads SDK.

That said, I understand that it is a bit complicated to capture the Charles logs (here are setup instructions), however, this will really help us confirm any Ad creative specific issues.

I tried installing Charles on the computer, and configured (host, proxy 8888) on my phone. But after fixing the host and proxy on my phone, my application can not load ad, in logcat on my Android studio there is always the message: "Ad failed to load: 3". So Charles couldn't capture it.

It would appear that we are still waiting for people to send us back Charles logs or stacktraces that show the delay. If you should happen to have any of this information to share with us please do.
