Hey,

I would like to query all artists (visual artists) with their creative works (e.g. paintings). What would the query look like?
What do I query from the ulan:{m}-agent (agent node)? The foaf:focus/gvp:eventNonPreferred property?

Kind regards,
Gleb

Gleb,

As I understand it, ULAN doesn't attempt to include artwork information in its scope.  That would be covered by the Getty's CONA project (not yet available as Linked Data), or by individual museums including ULAN URLs when they publish their collections information as Linked Data.  I'm not aware of either being a practical option in the foreseeable future, but would be delighted to learn otherwise.

BTW, have the Getty published widgets which make it easy to add their URLs to collections data (c.f. [1]), or to display a human-readable summary in a popup?  This might make it easier for institutions to enhance their data with Getty Linked Data URLs.

Right, ULAN is not about works of art.
(AAT and ULAN have some linked images that I think would be quite useful, and we can even recover LOD URLs from some of them... But they are few and the Getty hasn't yet decided to go ahead with such enhancement).

Seems like a very sensible suggestion. Recorded as a future task, ITSLOD-395
