Images from Heritage Auctions

    Back in 2021, we discussed the idea of using Heritage Auctions'
images.  They would allow us to do so but only if we retained their
caption "Imaged by Heritage Auctions. HA.com" at the bottom of the
image.  At the time, there was little support for the idea.  There was a
suggestion that we could instead place the caption info in a new
database field instead of with the image.  That also had minimal support
and so we made no change to our policy of no watermarks or added text.

    Heritage has just offered us an image of a Canadian comic that we
do not have (https://www.comics.org/issue/1744741/ ), with the same
caption.  They may also have a scan of
https://www.comics.org/issue/311061/ available, which we also do not
have.  Since we last discussed this 5 years ago, I am asking whether we
wish to change our policy or wish to refuse the use.

I don’t mind crediting them at all but not as part of the image itself. I have no doubt we have many images which have been harvested from Heritage and cropped.
