iOS native style widgets?

Do you see Flutter supporting native style iOS widgets? I know you're focused on Material Design and a new interface library could theoretically be created. But do you think the team might pursue other widget libraries like iOS style widgets? I believe React Native has controls for that. Developers like to be able to consider native widgets, as big apps like WhatsApp or Telegram and others use. Or as this is Google and you're mainly supporting Google-style apps for internal customers, is Material Design the sole focus for the foreseeable future?

Certainly someone could write some iOS-style widgets in Flutter.  The framework is designed to be flexible and well layered enough for developers to bring their own design opinions.  I don't foresee Flutter ever writing an exact clone of iOS's design opinion in the default framework, but that doesn't stop someone else from doing so on top of Flutter's widget layer:
http://docs.flutter.io/flutter/widgets/widgets-library.html

https://flutter.io/faq/#why-does-flutter-not-use-the-host-platforms-native-widgets discusses this question some, but we certainly could expand on this answer.

Our goal is to enable awesome mobile experiences, period.  Not specific to Material Design.  Right now our out-of-the-box experience uses Material Design for a variety of reasons, an obvious one being that the majority of our initial customers are at Google and have asked for Material Design specifically.

One of my concerns about Flutter. I am not sure if companies outside of Google will ship iOS apps with MD. I fully understand that this is not really an issue for Google. But to get more community support this could be an issue.

Thanks for the feedback! We hear you loud and clear, and we've begun to explore what it means to implement some widgets found in iOS apps with the Flutter framework. Some cupertino widgets exist already, the bugs Seth mentioned above track additional explorations.
