installer cant find libncurses.so.6

Hi guys,

Trying to install Firebird 4 (downloaded from website), but installer can't locate 

libncurses.so.6, but I'm pretty sure it's  there.

Here is the error message:

(base) [marcus@marcus-f0em0001uk Firebird-4.0.0.2496-0.amd64]$ sudo sh ./install.sh  
Firebird 4.0.0.2496-0.amd64 Installation
Please install required library 'libncurses.so.6' before firebird, after it repeat firebird install

and here is search result

(base) [marcus@marcus-f0em0001uk ~]$ locate libncurses.so.6
/home/marcus/anaconda3/lib/libncurses.so.6
/home/marcus/anaconda3/lib/libncurses.so.6.2
/home/marcus/anaconda3/pkgs/ncurses-6.2-he6710b0_1/lib/libncurses.so.6
/home/marcus/anaconda3/pkgs/ncurses-6.2-he6710b0_1/lib/libncurses.so.6.2

Can anyone help me with setting it up and running?

You currently have it only in your home directory, that is not
sufficient: it must be installed on your system itself.

Thanks for the response. If I run locate as sudo, I got this:

/usr/lib/libncurses.so
/usr/lib/libncurses.so.5
/usr/lib/libncursesw.so
/usr/lib/libncursesw.so.5
/usr/lib/libncursesw.so.5.9
/usr/lib/libncursesw.so.6
/usr/lib/libncursesw.so.6.2

and there is not other versions available on installer.

I'm not sure what that "W" in naming means, but does it mean incompatible version?

w is version, that supports wide characters. Depending of your distro
you need to install libncurses6 package (that is the Debian name).
