Hello,
I’m planning a trip to Northern Ireland to visit the haunts of my ancestor Findlay Ewing. Also planning to cross over to Sterling Scotland and make my way to Edinburgh. Retracing my Ewing’s heritage.

Any suggestions or recommendations would be most welcome.

Mike,

I am a descendant of Findley Ewing (Sept 7, 1650-1736) He was born in Glasgow, Scotland and died in Londerry, Ireland. His kids were born in Londonderry, Ireland

and his children cam to America. He was my 7th great grandfather. His son Thomas is my ancestor (Oct 6,1690-Feb 28 1747). He died in Cohansey, Cumberland, New Jersey.

The Ewing Family Association is putting together a gathering in Greenwich, New Jersey, and Philadelphia in September.

I will be giving a talk about the Greenwich Ewings and the family of my 4th great grandmother, Amy Hunter Ewing (Patterson). 

If you could share some photos of the historic parts of your trip that relate to the Ewings (Findley--Findlay) in Londonderry and Stirling, I would

love to share them at the EF Gathering in September. Also you should share with the Ewing Family Journal. And you should come to the Gathering.

There will be a sign up posted soon.

Most certainly I am jealous of your trip. I have seen the Scottish locations but have never been to Ireland.
