Hi cousins.
Its been a while since I heard from anyone. In fact since my book was published I have had no reactions.
Surely it wasn't that bad
Other books written by Ewings have been discussed even serielised as mine was years ago. What have I said is it because I have suggested that our roots are English rather than Scots.

Hi William, actually I purchased a copy and referred others to do the same. It's good to hear from you. In my opinion, there were Ewings in Britain as well as Scotland and Ireland, and they bounced back and forth as circumstances required, so I still believe that those in England, Scotland, Ireland, as well as Australia, South Africa, and others are all related if you go back far enough. Alas, the proof is in the pudding and unfortunately there has not yet been found enough pudding for the proof, and so we tarry on.

Well I broke down and bought our cousin's Kindle book for $2.99! You can easily read it on your web browser or smartphone client. My capsule review of the (free) preview:

This is not your normal family history book! It starts off as personal travelog about a birthday trip on the rugged Scottish roads to Loch Fyne. We learn much about our Author and local color, but rather less about Ewing forebears. It's entertaining, and I look forward to reading further.

I am one of those who were put off by the "E-Wing" story, but I'm past that by now...

Audaciter!

Definitely Scots. My brother, Charles Burgess Ewing, PhD (March 6, 1946, Victoria, Texas to March 21, 2012, Modesto, California; and buried in Alba, Texas)  traced our roots back centuries, and I have the family crest, along with all his research.
His obituary even says "He also had a continual and deep-rooted interest in researching and documenting the Ewing family history."
I love our Ewing history!

Hi Cousins
Those who have purchased my book. Thank you and please give it a review. The book in my opinion puts into doubt the view that the Ewings of America are Scots Irish.
I am open to opinion and sincerely hope that I am proven wrong.
William.
