Yesterday on live television from the White House, Donald Trump hit an all time low, he disgraced himself and the nation. I agree with Bret Stephens who said:

"If Roosevelt had told Churchill to sue for peace on any terms with Adolf Hitler and to fork over Britain’s coal reserves to the United States in exchange for no American security guarantees, it might have approximated what Trump did to Zelensky."

After his cringe worthy performance Trump told reporters "This is good TV". Oh well, the stock market may be tanking because of Trump's idiotic tariffs and cancer research and Ebola prevention put on hold so he could save money and give a big tax break to the super ultra rich, but the Gulf of Mexico is now the Gulf Of America and transsexual men can't play in women's sports, so I guess the good and the bad all evens out.

It was a disgrace, but Trump’s Kremlin drones are in full force to defend him—two fascist idiots going nuts live on TV. No thanks to America; the American government deserves nothing but contempt, not gratitude. Zelensky has shown he is the true hero, unafraid of the bullies in the White House.

For years now it has been apparent that Trump is a Russian asset.  Either Putin bought him with a Moscow hotel or he has something on him, like the pee tapes.

Well, ain't all members of the people's democratic Republic of America proud that the mouth of Putin praises your good work?

At this point though, Trump is presumably more powerful and wealthy than Putin. And at this point, they could probably release the pee tapes if they exist and it wouldn't even move the needle.

So why does he still seem to do Putin's bidding?  Maybe it's even worse than we thought - because he wants to.

You're probably right about that, even after watching the pee pee tape hardcore Trump zombies will still believe Trump is the second coming of Jesus. After all, everybody has seen the "grab them by the pussy" Access Hollywood tape, but that didn't prevent Trump from winning the presidential election after that. Two times in fact.

Putin must have something on Trump that is far worse than the pee pee tape. I know that sounds like a deranged conspiracy theory but I'll be damned if I can think of another explanation for Trump's bizarre behavior.

I don't think so, even a man as stupid as Donald Trump must know that cozying up with Vladimir Putin will not increase his popularity, and I don't think there's a human on this planet that has a larger ego than Trump, so he can't enjoy playing the part of Putin's lapdog.

OK hear me out on this one. Gonna put on my armchair psychologist hat for this one.

In psychology, a well understood phenomenon is that as adults, we often (unwittingly) recreate relationships that we had as children - especially those with unresolved or traumatic conflicts - in order to redeem ourselves. As an example, if as a child, a parent was an alcoholic, you might marry an alcoholic to try (again, below the level of self-awareness) to get that partner to love you in the way you needed as a child, because some part of you deep down holds the belief that it was your fault that your parent drank or didn't love you the way you needed, and a lot of our adult behavior is a desperate attempt to prove that those beliefs are not true.

Trump's father was famously a brutal man. Perhaps, Trump's attraction to world leaders and embarrassing subservience to them reflects the above dynamic - that on some level, if he can get these strong-men dictators to respect him, it would redeem his own inner-child's desperate need for love and attention from a father that was incapable of providing it.

Honestly, I think the above is more likely than what you're suggesting - that Putin has something far worse than pee tapes. That's because Trump acts this way to other strong men, and also because what we both already agree on - that there's virtually nothing left that could actually cancel him. Thanks to AI, even incriminating video footage of him sexually abusing a child could be dismissed as fake.

I think all theories are bunk since it seems like Mr trump can't read anymore.  Just watch the meeting with PM Starmer when mr trump receives the invite for a state visit to meet King Charles in the UK. Mr trump can't read anything at all. That is not good news :(

Even if he's more powerful and wealthy than Putin, power and wealth are relative.  He's probably not in the top ten richest persons in the West and he doesn't have nearly the power in the U.S. that Putin has in Russia (at least not yet).  So I think he envies Putin and wants to be buddies with him.  That's why he'd betray this country for a hotel and palace in Moscow (Does he know you can't play golf in the snow?)

Sadly, it's not even news.  It's been known since his first term that he doesn't read anything (except favorable news clips) and widely thought that he can't read.

Won't read and can't read is quite different.  One is a sign of software failure, the other a sign of hardware failure. When we have the joy of both we see party failure.
So you have a republican party with dementia.  Happy happy joy and a 3:e world war to all.

Fuck putin and his trumpist regime.
