Sure Brent, old history for me.Both adolf and stalin were actual choir boys. But the claim was that the socialists get a pass, because most of these were and are atheists, um, no. That religious mass murders are somehow more intolerable than murders by devoted socialist-atheists, basically just communicates which mass killers one has sympathy for.  Let us instead go for one standard. How about kill nazis, soviet socialists, and Islamists, no particular order, whichever attacks first? Seems logical and historic. If you put a halt to these people's actions, you'd have prevented 95 percent of the mass killings in the last century.

So what about the big murderers of the past who were slavers, imperialists, religious droolers, who used religion for power? Sure, if ya got a time machine we could go back and gat them as well!

You really are saying that atheists don't do murderous things? Hawking, by the way, lost his bet with Leonard Susskind about information disappearing forever via black holes, and was like the British, wrong about Israel. You can use religion to do murder, but the world socialists did the greatest murders in the world by number and they are and were atheists. Let me line up my information sources for you.
Australian Broadcasting Company, mate!

Which is because they used Communism like a religion...to define who the evil opposition was.  Stalin went to seminary and supported the Church when it suited him.  He didn't kill people in the name of non-belief, but in the name of Marxist economics.

Both were atheist regimes. I believe the people who do mass murder always need an excuse. Hitler was a big atheist as well, but liked useful idiots as well as anyone else.

He was a Catholic.  The Pope made his birthday a holiday.  He just carried out the ideas of Martin Luther:

"We are at fault for not slaying them [the Jews]."
---Martin Luther, "On the Jews and Their Lies"

"What shall we do with...the Jews?...set fire to their
synagogues or schools and bury and cover with dirt whatever
will not burn, so that no man will ever again see a stone or
cinder of them."
        ---Martin Luther

"I would like to thank Providence and the Almighty for choosing me of all people to be allowed to wage this battle for Germany,"
    --- Adolf Hitler - Berlin March, 1936

"The party as such represents the point of view of a positive
Christianity without binding itself to any one particular
confession."
---- Adolf Hitler, in the Nazi manifesto:

³We were convinced that the people need and require this faith. We have therefore undertaken the fight against the atheistic movement, and that not merely with a few theoretical declarations: we have stamped it out.²
---Adolf Hitler, in a speech in Berlin on 24 Oct. 1933

"We tolerate no one in our ranks who attacks the ideas of Christianity in fact our movement is Christian."
---Adolf Hitler, in a speech in Passau, 27 October 1928, Bundesarchiv Berlin-Zehlendorf,         [cited from Richard Steigmann-Gall¹s The Holy Reich]

So what's your evidence that Hitler was a "big atheist".  Did you channel his spirit?

Brent

No. Your claim was that Hitler was a "big atheist" and as usual you have
nothing to back it up.

Ok, understood. Lets try first with this WaPo article on old adolf and see?

After pouring over lots of pro and cons about dead adolf's world view, I see nothing back a back and forth tween say Dawkins followers and Christians, each in their own way saying, "You own him, he's yours." What did jerky boy want when he conquered the world? Basically, a vision of blonds who believed in race. That is it. A few nazis in the reich became odinists (Valhalla and paganism and such), probably a few satanists but no more than the UK had. Lots of remainers in the old Lutheran and Roman Catholic churches, because tradition and nothing better to do. My view is that saying "well, atheists are never to blame because our hearts are pure and worshipping the rules of the state are necessary!" Worshipping the state and not a higher authority obviously leads to The Gulags, The Killing Fields, The Great Leap Forward. High body count there, the highest in history, if you discount the bubonic plagues of Justinian in the 6th century and 14th.

So what to do? Well, for me, I tend to go with what clicks for me, which is usually a triangulation tween my amygdala and my cerebrum.  I tend to search and occasionally find the works of scientists and scientific philosophers that give models of how things could be better and more interesting than atheism or religious fanaticism, which tend to piss me off (my amygdala reacts). So, for me, and obviously not for you I like the idea of taking this stuff seriously. So I still go back to the Universe Learning as sort of a good thing, maybe a great thing?

More formally-

And, if you don't agree I will declare jihad against you, and declaim you on twitter, and unfriend you on facebook.. :- / That'll show ya.

As Umberto Eco puts it in his "UR-Fascism, 14 Way to Identify a Black Shirt," fascism is a bundle of contradictions. Adolf Hitler, particularly in the last two years, was not able to keep tabs on his own brain. He would praise Christianity one day and curse it the next. Don-the-Con t'Rump is similar, and he logged nearly 30,000 lies told in office. His whirlwind of a chaotic mind would shift from one thing and its opposite within a timeframe of hours. What ever was in his mind at the moment was truth. Hitler was similar.

Well, its also true that famed Swiss Psychoanalyst Carl Jung, would at times, delcare, "Today, I am an anti-Semite!" This, even though he had worked with Freud or maybe because of it? Ha! Hitler was a con-man as all politicians are, but started his life as an artists, and according to what I have read, supplemented his income at night as a male prostitute in Vienna before WW1. So, as well, did his comrade in the party Ernst Roehm the head of the Sturmabteilung, aka stormtroopers. Being a liar is so natural to politicians please, that the person who made your 30K list also left out that your democrats regularly tell 30,001 lies per year. How's Obama's Shovel Ready Jobs, coming along? Or that he would, stop the seas from rising (2008).

That he was a showman and he was, also causes you to miss out on his geniuses comedic timing. He could warm up a crowd like better than George Carlin. If you wish me to critique the man I can, but you'd never be impressed by what I wrote on this.
