For decades Asians and Europeans have complained about a "brain drain" where all there smartest scientists and technicians are moving to the USA, but now the two leading scientific journals in the world, Nature and Science, have published articles about a reverse brain drain where the smartest American scientists want to move to Europe or Asia because of the Trump administration's aggressive anti-scientific policies.

You ought to check the financial requirements to become a citizen of Canada. They could be rather onerous. Also, FWIW, the nobler path IMO, is to remain here and fight to save our imperfect democracy. AG

I don't need to become a citizen. And in any case, if I sell my real estate in CA I'm sure Canada will welcome me. I haven't checked Canada but I looked into New Zealand which I'd probably like better, but it's too far from my relatives. At 85 I'm not much for fighting.

@Brent. Jealous for what ? I'm living in Europe, paradise on Earth. You in America, besides New York have nothing. Houses upon houses upon houses. You only have villages and stroads to go to the supermarket and back home like robots. You have no idea what a city is and what living life in the city is. You live in a box (called house), get out of that box and enter another box (called car), get out of that box and enter a bigger box (called supermarket) and then come back in your original box. 100% survival, 0% living life. We in Europe on the other hand enjoy walks, enjoy architecture, enjoy parks, fresh air, people around us. 100% living life.

Yes. I seem to remember reading somewhere that about 85 years ago extreme right wingers, who worshiped their leader as a demigod, caused Europeans a wee bit of difficulty. But perhaps I'm misremembering.
