Well, let us move forwards and yes, do some kind of fix for children who get to live. Parents don't have to take the kids and yes to orphanages, or some sort of social benny that beats uncaring foster homes too. It seems like a jump in ethics and if there is a supreme mind, then, yeah morals. If not. then ethics is just peachy with me.
Now, this kindness does have a financial cost, which you'll be glad to know I am quite a capitalist supporter too, and using technological forced advance we generate more wealth by funding the sciences and especially engineering. Because, we cannot have goodies distributed without somebody making cash to be taxed, can we?
I am very interested naturally in finding and using new, unexpected, undervalued resources to accomplish this. This is what investment is for. Could be Arti-Wombs like the Germans want, could mushrooms for packaging + clothing + fake bacon. Might be algae-grown fabrics for clothes? Could be MSR's or Perovskite solar cells for energy? The economics is something that we are familiar with if you comprehend Milty Friedman and his "pal," John Maynard Keynes.
Regarding damaged brain glia from H20 turning to ice, even this may not be information loss?
Here is a brief segue into the postulate that physical laws are just a sometime thing, which you and your buds have discussed in this mailing-list.
Basically, if true, a bright engineer who is aware of this, if it seems true later on, this century, might spin up their own physical laws to accomodate useful technologies like quantum immortality/resurrection? It'd be as if somebody 140 years ago was confidently expecting the steam engine as the force for the horseless carriage, just before Otto Diesel came along?
Yes, too easy to be true, for now. I'd still support going for the cold treatment (all body not just the brain) for an expanded Healthcare services, such as body/brain regens and surgical conflation. I use the word conflation but am open to a better phrase or term. Maybe there'd be a market for such things and maybe those who are personally involved as recipients of such a venture, might be open to investments, in sundry social items like a womb with a view, social policies that help orphans thrive, Salt reactors, tissue engineering, planetary mining (off earth), habitat creating (off earth), you know the drill?
The theory being a live or resurrected consumer is a buying consumer. Gotta eat, ya know? Unless they/we are all Virtual and that too, takes electricity to produce. I would say maybe a Big Old Dyson Sphere, capturing the Sunlight and using the material from The Oort Cloud. Yeah, sparser than planets for sure! Yet we are looking at it from our feeble perspective and I'd say there is great chance of doing more with less, much less.
Well, these are simply me following ideas and goals and I am typically way more content with much smaller accomplishments. But succeeding generations a long way off, maybe more innovative AI's can do what we cannot do, find useful answers.

Ancestor Simulations would be popular even in a much later age.
You know, I think I remember Jurassic Park making lots of cash?
