An article in Wednesday's edition of the journal Nature indicates that if you got the first generation of the shingles vaccine 10 years ago it not only did a very good job in preventing you from getting shingles it also reduced your chances of developing Alzheimer's disease by 20%. There is reason to believe that today's more advanced shingles vaccine could do even better:
