Trump wants to kill LIGO

The LIGO gravitational wave detector has two parts, one is in Washington state and the other is in Louisiana, that allows it to triangulate and figure out what direction the gravitational wave has come from, and it makes it more sensitive because it becomes possible to cancel out local effects that can cause errors. Last Friday the Trump administration proposed cutting LIGO's budget in half and mothballing one of the antennas. It also says it wants to slash the budget for both the Hubble and the James Webb space telescopes. And, even though it's completed, Trump doesn't want to launch the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope which was specifically designed to study Dark Energy, the thing that might someday tear the universe apart. 

And Trump wants to cut NASA's budget by 24% with almost all the cuts coming from the most important part of NASA, the part that deals with discovering new things about science. Oh and I almost forgot, Trump wants to cut the budget for the National Science Foundation, the only part of the government that deals in pure research, by a lethal 56%.

And all this is going to make America great again?!
