The middle class has paid and paid and paid for the tariffs that Trump induced, in the loss of US jobs, given over to the Chinese Communist, in order to maximize profit. Why are you as a libertarian so-called siding with crony capitalist? Because that is exactly what the globalist and woke corporations boards of directors are indeed. Trump I never expected to accomplish much of anything that he did so well comparatively to my very low expectations is something to say. Hillary? Hillary would have done what Joe is doing right now except 4 years ago she's all yours buddy.

1. Don didn't build a decent fence despite all his crowing about it.

That's true he didn't, but I have to ask, were you surprised, did you really think he would build a wall, and did you also think he would get Mexico to pay for it? Did you really think even Trump believed what he was saying was true? Maybe I'm weird but I tend to get a bit angry when somebody looks me straight in the face and tells me something that I know for a fact is a lie, but that doesn't seem to irritate the Trump zombies one bit. Some people are excellent liars and it's extremely difficult to tell that they're not being sincere, but despite an enormous amount of practice Trump never became good at that skill. When Trump was giving a speech he might as well have the words "I AM A LIAR" tattooed in big bold letters on his forehead.

> 2. He did slap China with tariffs

Yep, and who paid those tariffs, China? Nope, the middle class consumer paid for those Chinese tariffs. And as someone who claims he wants smaller government, how can you justify the government ordering me (using the threat of violence) not to buy a widget from China and I must instead buy a widget from Oklahoma that costs more and is of lower quality? Trump said he's a tariff's man, well I'm a libertarian and that means I'm a free market man.

> 3. He kept the Indian IT workers imported down to a low roar..

Yeah he did, and if you think the way the win the technology war that will define the future is to make sure very smart scientifically minded people don't enter the country then you're nuts.

4. nflation good, employment better. Better than Obama,

BULLSHIT.

The perfect example of a NON-Scientific person is somebody who thinks personal anecdotes are more important than the scientific method.

You must be kidding, I mean it, you are kidding aren't you?

What the hell! I am unable to parse any of that. I need a Rosetta Stone for the Spudize language.

I would maintain that if a libertarian is not a capitalist then he is NOT a libertarian.  And "crony" means friend, and it's true, I generally have a friendly feeling towards capitalists because I am one myself.

> The middle class has paid and paid and paid for the tariffs that Trump induced, in the loss of US jobs, given over to the Chinese Communist,

The middle class paid Trump's tariff every single time he bought something. And there are only two ways free trade with China could be detrimental to the American way of life:

1) Communism is inherently a more efficient way to organize a society than capitalism.
2) The Chinese, because of biology, are smarter than Americans.

I see no evidence either of those things are true.

Maximizing profits is a good thing! And so is making money off of a tragedy, it's nice that at least a little good comes out of something very bad

 > I never expected to accomplish much of anything

You never directly answered my question. Did you think Trump was telling the truth when he said over and over and over again "I will build a wall and make Mexico pay for it" ?  If you did then you're an even worse judge of character than I am, and if you didn't then I don't understand why somebody telling you a bold faced lie didn't make you angry.

> Hillary? Hillary would have done what Joe is doing right now except 4 years ago

Yep, and if Hillary had won 4 years ago several hundred thousand Americans who are now dead would still be alive. And 4 years ago the American people DID want Hillary to be president, but unfortunately due to our screwy constitution 328,000,000 Americans don't get to vote for the president, only the elite 538 who are in the Electoral College do, and those 538 people made the single worst decision in the history of the republic.

However I will give you one thing, because of Trump's bungling  664,935  Americans may have died of COVID-19 but at least they didn't have to face the horrors of Hillary Clinton's email server!

I am a utilitarian, remember? I just with whatever we can achieve as fast as we can. Crony capitalism is a bad feature I claim, and for you as a Libertarian, that somehow it all washes out logically in the end seems to be a triumph of hope over experience. Just as Japan did 30 years ago with their Zaibatsu, nobody in China is doing the Free Trade 2-step, nor, do I think we in the States are anymore.
The fiddle with their currencies and unlike we in the states, the CP is real ok if their middle class gets burned by CP actions  both literally and figuratively. The Han, which are the majority of Chinese have a saying, a tradition, Mai Banfa. These people are used to being kicked in the teeth, the peasants, the middle class.

The CP industrial spy us (what industries the boards of directors of your Wokies have not moved to Guangshu
The CP permits and encourages breaking copyrights.
The Boards of directors of your team gladly hand over schematics in exchange for China trade.
When you do slave labor as with the CP/PLA does with the Uighers, I call this as a Competitive Advantage.

I say what happens when your or my allegations do not prove true in the sloppy, dirty, real world? What if we fail in our claims? Do we keep on doing the same thing, or do we make adjustments? This is why I am strongly prejudiced against politics, save as a means of collecting wealth and throwing it on specific technological goals. Climate change? Switch to carbon-free or carbon capture fast. Then once we have it in place, switch off the dirty and switch on the clean. Like with a newly installed network system, we run things concurrently, just to ensure continuity. This is where your DNC/Green schmucks fail miserably. "Shut things down now! Save the world!"

I will stick with pragmatism and hope the numbers in our efforts capture the phenomena accurately.
