The UK was once a the science super power, but is perishing, not just via science, with its WEF/EU ideological approach to all endevours of government. At some poiint your scientists, now defunded by USAID have to produce things of use for the rest of us. The Klaus Schwab governance works very poorly.

Science is anyway just a religion, so what's the big deal of losing science ? It will just instantly be replaced by another religion. Human stupidity is infinite.

Its actually a Hack if you do it right? We don't needs anymore religions. We do need measurement and observation to sustain spirtual leanings. These seem to work fairly well.

Not being a science superpower is something I can deal with.  Becoming a fascist dictatorship is not and that's where we are already.  The Constitution is ignored, court orders are ignored, human rights are violated and BS excuses are floated on a cesspool of lies.

@spudb. Measurements and observations are not done in a void. They are done in the context of a theory. And that theory is religiously constructed.

Yes, but as Freeman Dyson noted, you build better machinery (based on hypothesis-theory-expectation) you get better results. Interestingly enough (for me) I follow some of these people at the Barcelona 2025 conference. The first day is Penrose, Hoffman and Elitzur. Federico Baggins, most recently for me, later in the week. I do like Haramein and Sheldrake as well.
