One of my favorite summer Bird songs is the song that my Merlin app identifies as a Veery. I have never seen one. My sister lives in Duluth and identifies this song with a hermit thrush. Does anybody here know which it is more likely to be in Ely?

Thanks for any insight,

They are both common around here.  I'm sure Merlin app is right.

My Merlin app has been identifying both locally but definitely more Veery's around than hermit thrushes.  Of course, that balance can change from one location to another.  I've been able to photograph a Veery (attached) but not a hermit thrush yet.  I'm assuming the latter are a bit more timid.
