Open edX currently doesn’t have native support for SCORM content, but using a third party SCORM package hosting service such as SCORM Cloud, makes it possible to embed such content in an edX course.
This is a proposal for building an XBlock that would give a course author an easy way to choose which SCORM package (SCO) to embed in the edX course. Quiz results from SCORM Cloud can be reported back to edX for grading purposes.
As per the recommended architecture review process, we are circulating this document to get feedback before beginning the development of this XBlock. If you're interested in SCORM functionality in edX, please review the document and comment on the proposed architecture and features list. We'd like to get a broad range of opinions to make sure whatever we build will be generic enough to handle most use cases.
The document is viewable by anyone who has the link, but if you wish to comment on it, please email me or reply to this thread, so that I can add you as an commenter on the doc.
