Save & Exit button not working for textarea fields in workflow tasks

We've noticed what we think is a minor (but annoying) bug with the submission form, where the Save & Exit button is functioning like a Cancel button. This is only occurring during workflow tasks - the behaviour is different for an initial submission.
The problem is that data entered into any textarea type input is only saved when progressing through the form using either the Previous or Next buttons. If the user selects Save & Exit, any new text added to these fields on the current tab is lost.
We're on DSpace 6.3 using Mirage 2, and I've tested on the demo site and had the same problem. Is it possible to add this to the list of issues to be fixed?

I can confirm that the problem exists with our DSpace instance as well. There is a pull request linked to the issue but I haven’t tried the patch yet.
