Is there an app I can load onto my Samsung Galaxy that will have me playing my DM48X through my cell phone within 1 hour of receiving it?

Is there anyone from Poland who uses this harmonica?

Manfred, what problem did you have with this app and de DM48x that made you pay for the upgrade?

Briefly about my experience with Android and the DM48 (not-X and X). Maybe someone has an advice for me:

until recently I played the DM48 via Android tablet with the FluidSynth Midi app (basic version free in PlayStore). Latency yes, but for slower songs (for me) acceptable. I was more disturbed by the very limited sound selection in the general midi. Therefore (and with the temptation of wireless and pitch bender) I bought the DM48X and switched to Apple. I currently use ThumbJam and Garageband. The iPhone doesn't have its own headphone output, so I play via Bluetooth and plug into the amp with an adapter. However, the latency in this setting doesn't seem very low to me either. I would therefore like to try the whole thing with a cable. For this, it turns out I'll have to connect via audio interface. Iphone only has one I/O (Lightning in my case). I have a Focusrite Scarlett. It would work, but unfortunately it doesn't have a separate power supply (and the Iphone is emptied when I use it to power the Focusrite). Does anyone have any tips for a suitable (not too complex and expensive) setup without audio-interface? DM48 (non-X or X) with cable into the Iphone, but also out into an amp. Are there any suitable adapters?

I use both iPad and iPhone for DMX-48. The latency is bad if I use Bluetooth headphones, but Bluetooth from harmonica to iDevice is fine. I use a cheap and simple USB-C to mini jack dongle and plug in with wired headphones. Works great. Here’s on example. I also use AUM as my software interface, but have used SWAM directly.

Hope that helps.

Hi Manfred, sorry to hear that latency continues to be a problem in Android. Really a pity!

Please take a look at the links I shared some time ago in this message:

There are adapters that accept a lightning cable for power supply and offer an audio jack out for you to connect to headphones or to an amplifier. Similar to what John has shared, but lightning for older phones (like mine) instead of USB-C.

Cheers.
