You can probably do what the crime labs do, use RFLP or STRs... or
maybe look into SNP assays.
Here's a canine SNP kit, but you'd need to learn how to prepare the
samples (DNA extraction, cleanup, SNP-kit-directed specifics) and then
you'd have to find a place that would read the chips for you
(basically a really nice blacklight and a camera setup).
