I'm trying the DiscPiano app. Even though the Piano Stream app works perfectly fine, this app does not. Missing notes and strange moments of silence with every song.
Here are my specifics: iPhone XR, US Cellular or wifi connection, Yamaha MX100A, HiFing Midi adapter

The only positive so far is that the piano volume control works with the app, but does not work with piano stream.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Hi folks! 👋
I’ve built a new app called DiskPiano that lets your Disklavier play thousands of exclusive songs (that I bet you’ve never heard on your piano yet!), including lots of Christmas music you can enjoy with family and kids. 🎄🎹

If you’d like to try it, just search “DiskPiano” on the App Store — it’s iOS-only for now (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/diskpiano/id6755051098).
Please note that the app has been tested on an older 1997 Yamaha C1 Disklavier (DKC100) using both a WIDI Master and a USB-MIDI cable, and it works well. But if you run into any issues or bugs, please let me know — I’m looking for beta testers! 😉
And if you have any suggestions or feature ideas, please let me know — I’d love your feedback! 🙏

I haven't looked at this code yet, but if the source, I assume it is a midi file, might have been generated from source that had, for instance, chord symbols in Musescore with realized notes, then duplicate notes might be silenced.  I had the same problem using Musescore with sheets that had chord symbols.  Sort of like what happens when you play along with a midi file and hit the notes at exactly the same time.   This is just a suggestion of a possible cause.   If you send midi files from a recording this shouldn't be the case.  But if the code processes sheet music with chord symbols that had been realized into notes without removing the chord symbols, then those notes could be silenced.

Everything that I’ve tried from the piano app library seems to give me the same issue.
