Hopefully it may help to save another user some guessing.

Please advise if there is missing detail that I should add.

Hi, After reviewing the materials, I think some additions are needed to the attached documents.
That is, "radio address" 00→88 (7100 ci-v address).

Updated to show "radio address" 00→88 (7100 ci-v address) as "88" rather than "00".

Thanks to yuichi matsui for catching that.

I'm not certain why but I'm not observing any difference in FreeDV due to this change.

It may have generated an error that the app bypassed?

Hi David -san.
I apologize for not providing sufficient explanation in my previous reply.
The official address for the IC-7100 is “88,” but “00” can also be
used. This comment on the official address is based on my past
troubleshooting experience.
“00” appears to be used to send messages to all radios.
Please note that this is described in the “2.2.2. 2 Icom Radio
Settings” section of the manual.
