Hey,

TL;DR HowToCode.io

So I went about looking for resources for members of our community. I didn't have to search to far until I found HowToCode.io, a place to learn from novice to employable some web technologies and Rails. I'm pretty excited it's Rails because

• I code Rails. I think there are very few Rails programmers out here in Ghana. How about we all become Rails developers. Won't that be awesome?!
• DevCongress is a Rails app (fork us on Github). What that means is you can contribute to making our application and website better. Yay!

Please take advantage of the opportunity to shed off the evils of the Very Bizarre (VB) and PreHistoric Programming (PHP) languages that have plagued programmers in Ghana. Let's learn some Ruby/Rails. Feel free to submit pull requests on DevCongress to show signs of your progress as you learn some new skills.

I'm a big fan of learning by doing. So if you are able to build something awesome please do share it with us.

In other news, I added a Scrollback widget to our homepage. It's kind of like a modern IRC (mind you IRC is eternally modern). That's another outlet to have fun right?
