Hello community and Chris,

Following with last discussion on SOS : Setting up Debezium SQL server Source Connector.

When I already filled in the parameter of schema.history.internal.kafka.bootstrap.servers with the broker host and port still not working. When I check the logs, the node disconnects to the bootstrap server broker as if it cannot reach from the connector to the bootstrap broker host.
Note : the connectivity from Kafka-Connect to bootstrap server broker, already exists.

+ Here are some broker configurations (Control Center):
1) ssl.keystore.type : JKS
2)
sasl.mechanism.inter.broker.protocol : SCRAM-SHA-256

I wonder if there any other configurations to set up related with SSL for the connectivity of bootstrap broker and the Debezium source connector?

Please let me know, if you need me to mention other configurations

Thanks,
Rithy

Hi Rithy, can you please share the full worker setup for Kafka Connect and the connector configuration you are using?

Hi -

So you see how you have sasl.* and ssl.* configurations in your connector configuration? You need to set similar values with a prefix "schema.history.internal.producer." and "schema.history.internal.consumer." so that the AdminClient used by the schema history is able to authentication in the same way. You can see an example of how this could look in the documentation here [2]. You will need to adjust the protocol and the SSL and/or SASL configuration accordingly.

Thanks,
