Yeah, and a mate of mine heard the sonic boom, too. Winchcombe, the landing site of some meteorite fragments, is about 20 miles from here. Looking at the trajectory, the meteor pretty
much came over our house. The mountain coming to Mohammed?? Not really, but pretty cool all the same!

This article confirms that the carbonaceous chondrite indeed came from the collision debris field between Mars and Jupiter.
