Hi,
I finally managed to build a prototype of my GRBL Control..

I decided to use a Mosfet instead of the relay (for PWM)..

There is still a lot of work to do..
More information soon...

some pics..

Nice!!

I am not alone any more! Let me know when you start playing with software, I have loaded Grbl v0.8c and I use GRBL Controller as host http://zapmaker.org/projects/grbl-controller-3-0/

Lately I have not been able to touch any of my hardware hopefully I can somehow work on software.

Hi, my name is Marcos Bladauskas, 17 years old, writing from Argentina. I really like your board, it's awsome. If it's functional i'm definitley building it. I have searched all arrownd your github page for something related to the firmware. In the readme file of the project you wrote that arduino's bootloader won't work. Is there another one which does? Is there an improvment on z probing? Summarizing, should i build your board, or should i use a sanguinololu with marlin? Thanks a lot for your time and congratulations on your design.

Hi Marcos,
thanks. Im running the newest grbl on my board.. works pretty well :D.. regarding the bootloader... yes youre right the arduino bootloader wont work due to the missing dtr line. On my board im using fastboot (fboot) from peter danegger (here unfortunately in German). if you want to i can upload a compiled version of it. the newes version of grbl now supports z probing but ive never tested.. i also dont know if there is a hostsoftware which supports z probing for grbl.. zhaf was working on a grblcontroller software (here) to support z probing but unfortunately only for marlin :(..

Summary: its a oneborard solution for grbl supporting 12V spindels up to ~120W.. nearly all of us are using marlin where the zprobing is supported by several hostsoftwares.. so if you cant renounce the z probing there are 3 solutions.. 1) you find a grbl compatible software on the net 2) you program your own software 3) you use the sanguinololu with marlin..

PS. I just wanted to say that im using my board for a year now running grbl.. drilling works quite well, milling wood is also no problem but milling pcbs is a bit tricky due to my poorly leveled bed (without z probing).. and im planning to update the board the next months..

if there are more questions.. just ask :D..

.......... just a note of z probing and GRBL v9  I have used chiliPeppr (http://chilipeppr.com/grbl) for a couple of boards and it works as good as the z probing on Marlin but with a better and nicer interface.

Thanks for answering! I've been taking a look at sanguinololu and to your board and i have decided to develop my own board. I like some useful stuff from your board like the smd leds and the wide power tracks. I'll design something based on both, sanguinololu and grbl ctrl, removing the 4th axis and integrating homemade, mosfet-powered motor drivers. Hopefully i'll be able to upload it by the end of december to some github repository so you can take a look and decide if it's a worth descendant of your board :D
