Hi,

I'm trying to activate an old HP controller but no disks are show.
It might be a problem of the old firmware version ( W430R31).

Is there someone who has saved the firmware of this controller?

thanx

Thank you.

I've already found a source.

I still have problems to activate the communication between my C7000
Blade and the RAID-Controller.

I am unable to understand your problem, how are you connecting msa2000 to C7000. MSA2000 is a raid controller, are you using fiber channel ?. Have you zoned correctly. Need more information.

I'm using the Fibre Channel option but there is a SAS option, too.

It's called msa2000sa. You have add a M700-mezzazine controller and a
SAS Blade Switch (HP AJ864A).

This configuration produces my problems.

Let's get to the basic to find where the problem is and then decide if we require a firmware update or not, If you have already carved a lun on the MSA and the the server is attached to the fabric
1. Check to see if zone is properly configured. confirm wwn of the msa and the wwn of the server in the zone config.
2. Zoneset should see the zone and is in the active zoneset
3. Do a flogi to see if the server has logged in the san switch (show flogi will tell you for msa & server). (If flogi does not show the wwn, go step back)
4. Considering if all this is good, bring the server up and in the console check to see if you are able to see the lun by using the fc utility (If you don't see the lun here then no point booting the server).
iLO will also tell you if you are able to see the connection to the MSA

Let me know if you have done all this.
