While testing out version 4.58.02 I've noticed that some calculations are being turned into dates.
On pipedream 4.56.02 (the version I use at the moment) the calculation 1812-6-2 gives the correct result of 1804 but in the newer versions of pipedream  I get the result of '2 Jun 1812', which means that math calculations are being turned into dates.
I've also noticed then even if the calculation has any hint of a possible date conversion it will do it, ie 4+1605-10-4+5 end up as being turned into a date, making its use as a spreadsheet a bit problematic for me.

That's the correct diagnosis, Jeff.

The only way round this in 4.57 and later is with something that will
stop the expression parser recognising such yyyy-{m}m-{d}d sequences as
dates, such as inserting brackets or just spaces.

Thanks for the quick reply,

I will stick to the old version as I found its causing unexpected problems, in that if you modify a cell from an old spreadsheet which has a calc that can be converted in it, then you can't undo it.

Out of interest will this be fixed? or am I, and my past 129908 spreadsheets, doomed to be working with version 4.56.02 for the rest of my life :-)

I can't remove the ISO date recognition feature entirely as it had been
specifically requested.

Looks like it should be possible to add an option to stop ISO dates from
being recognised.

Could you please try with the latest version I just uploaded:

http://croftnuisk.co.uk/coltsoft-downloads/pipedream/PipeDream/PipeDream_4_60_02.zip

This I think has the right balance of functionality regarding the
possibility of ISO date import, conversion using the DATEVALUE()
function and not messing up any existing PipeDream spreadsheets.

Sorry it's taken so long but I fight Covid-related brain fog!

Best regards, Stuart
