Multi dimension extra information in collins

Hi,

I am considering using Collins for storing various information about hosts and
groups in addition to what it already provides.
These information would be used by deployment systems for templating, etc.

How woukld you recommend storing multi dimension information ?

The dimension concept in Collins fits well the hardware inventory needs, however
it is less intuitive for extra tags.

I noted the --json parameter for collins-shell: do you recommend storing plain
json in an extra field ?

Are there limitation I should be aware of ?

Are you asking what practices people have for adding their own custom data fields to Collins? or a special type of field?
