Red Phalarope - Union Res

Great find John! The Red Phalarope is still present Sunday morning. Best viewed from south side County Road.

We are looking at the Red Phalarope from the South shore. It is at the Northwest corner of Union Reservoir.

All,

The Red Phalarope continues at Union Res this morning.  It is hanging by itself in the middle of the res towards the north side.  The heat shimmer is making it near impossible to get decent photos.  A scope is required to be able to see the important field marks.  Best views are from the county road on the SE side of the reservoir.

Bird is the word!
