Prothonotary Warbler at Belmar Park, Jefferson County

The Prothonotary Warbler at Belmar park was very active at Belmar Park this morning. Me and a group saw this bird at about 9:30 ish this morning. The warbler was present on the south west side of Kountze Lake. There is a small peninsula going out to the lake with a small pier. The warbler was actively feeding along the shore line, staying generally low in the trees and above the water edge.

Still present this am as of 7:45. Being observed at 39.7046245, -105.0889180, on the south side of the island (looks like another peninsula but separated by a narrow canal) just north of the SW peninsula.

Well part of that canal is dry plus doesn't seem to go all the way through so I guess it is technically a peninsula after all.

Prothonotary warbler is still here as of 7am. Currently watching it from the dock on the point in the SW corner. Currently picking around for bugs in a bush about 6ft above the water
