Hi David,We drove into the state park and immediately pulled over along a dam or dike and scanned the water of Martin Lake. The scoter wasn't too far out, but I really needed a scope view to confirm. We then pulled into the parking lot where the youth fishing pond is and got the scope and walked to the water's edge. We practically sped to the youth fishing pond parking lot to verify. :-) I am not sure if those are helpful tips or not!Good luck tomorrow!Thanks,Kara
