Hi all,

I photographed a dark Merlin, in Pueblo West, this morning.  It might be the north western US subspecies, though I'm not totally sure.

Sure seems like the NW subspecies. In addition to the very dark plumage, including the cheeks, the tail band that is visible is narrow and appears incomplete.
