Photos of the adult Kumlien's Iceland Gull, with additional details and discussion of key field marks, are in the 2013 gallery at http://www.pbase.com/quetzal/icgularimer. After about 20 min at the Lake Loveland swim beach, it flew to the Carter Lake nocturnal gull roost. I was able to spot it there among 600+ gulls at dusk. Other interesting gulls in the large flock included 3 juv. Thayer's, 2 adult Lesser Black-backed and 1 adult California. And a Merlin flew over. Hopefully these will all be recorded on Wednesday for the Loveland CBC.
