Hey,

any news on this? GSoC will be accepted soon and we'd like to give out
the sponsorship option if any as a prize to the people who have been
with us for a crazy long time and doing a crazy job with us but
couldn't get into GSoC because there were even crazier people around.

Hi Lasse,

for the OSS booth, we'd need assurance from you that the booth
will be staffed during the event. Can you provide us with a list
of people who can take care of this ?

We're asking this, since we had such OSS booths in the past
which were then left unattended. The booths do cost us quite a
bit, so we want to make sure they are put to good use.

If you don't have enough people to staff the booth, you could
also get in touch with the program work group and submit a helpdesk
proposal. Those will only need to be staffed for a few hours during
the conference.

Hi,

we definitely have at least 4 people who already bought the ticket and
travel right off the top of my mind. We expect around 8-15 people to
come in total so we should be totally able to stuff the booth; this
year we got 10 GSoC students and usually at least half of them joins
after they are announced (next week).

That being said we'll definitely be staffing the booth for the full conference.

thanks a lot! This means a lot to us and we're unanimously grateful to
have this opportunity. By now 6 people have confirmed that they're
manning the stand and the number is growing. :)

Can we rent a TV for our stand? What does it cost?

Will we be able to send you a flyer for the conference bag and/or a
graphic for the booklet? Then I'd work with our designer to update
those ASAP. Let me know if there's cost associated with that and I'll
check if we (which most likely means I personally) can cover it.

Do you have relations to a t shirt printing company? I think you may
get lower rates than we do because of your volume. Would it maybe be
possible to print some coala shirts there for the conference and our
members? We'd obviously cover the cost and I can totally understand if
this is an unbearable organizational overhead that you don't want to
take.

parcels with the flyers using the parcel service company we
have to use:

I'm sorry, but we cannot do custom t-shirt printing. The
t-shirt company we're working with will only do bulk
orders, AFAIK.

Is there any other possibility? I doubt we'll need a 30kg shipping
(which'll cost us more than printing the flyers) to send a bunch of
flyers over.

Yes, but we don't have the prices available yet, since the booth
builder will be providing the TVs and we're still deciding
which one to use.

No, that's the only possibility based on sending parcels.
You can, of course, bring the flyers to the venue yourself.
We will do the bag stuffing on Sunday, so need them there
before we start. In any case, do let us know how you want to
proceed, so that we can plan accordingly.

I'll come on saturday and bring around the flyers any time you want, I
wanted to help with the beginners day anyway.

We have the Coala logo, but it doesn't come with text. Do you
perhaps have an SVG which includes e.g. "Coala" or "Coala project" ?

need to "emergency speed up"? What are the measurements, then we can
optimize for that?

I noticed the prices for the TV, I think we'll be doing the demos with
our laptops there.

How many flyers do we need to bring for the bag inserts?

We have 1300 bags to stuff, so 1300-1400 should be enough.

Hi,

you'll find SVGs at https://github.com/coala/artwork/pull/29 - please
compare them to the images in the PR before printing, SVGs tend to not
be displayed correctly at times with special fonts and all :)

thanks. Just a note: the SVG should have all text and
other logo elements converted to paths to make it usable
anywhere. I ended up using the AI file.
