c6525-100g stuck at pxebooting

Dear cloudlab staff,

I'm wondering if there's anything I could do if one of my nodes is stuck at pxebooting. The experiment is here: https://www.cloudlab.us/status.php?uuid=1f61ff44-b3f1-11ef-af1a-e4434b2381fc

I've already tried rebooting.

The node boots and communicates fine in "recovery" mode, so there is nothing
wrong with the physical link and there is no blacklisting or filtering going
on. It looks like the standard Emulab (Cloudlab) startup scripts for the
control network are there and it doesn't look like networkmanager is installed
so..it must be something in the OS. I don't know what you might have customized
on that node, did you add any packages related to the network?

You can use the node "Reload" option in the per-node menu to reimage the
disk with a fresh version of the OS, see if that changes anything.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for responding so quickly! I was playing with dpdk but I ran the same commands on other nodes and they are fine. But I ran those commands manually so who knows something might have gotten in there…

That you are using DPDK is a very important thing for you to mention.
Make sure you do not put the control net interface under the control of DPDK.

Hi Mike, 

Happy holidays! I just want to update on this. I think this error turned out to have nothing to do with DPDK since I successfully setup all my other nodes using the same script. I think something might be wrong with the node amd256.utah.cloudlab.us.. I already deleted the node from my experiment but just thought this is useful information.
