Hello,

For our lab we created a list of positive and negative words and saved files in lib.  We ran this command to search transcripts for these words:

freq +t*MOT +...@Negativewords.cut +d  @

The command would not run.  It seemed like the command did not like two @s in a line. We downloaded a new version of CLAN to see if it helped, and it didn't.

Please let us know if there is a way to run this command!

Thank you,
Allison

Allison,

We have fixed this problem on 6th of April 2016. The new version should have worked. Please make sure that you are using CLAN version "V 06-Apr-2016", sometime Windows system fails to install the latest version even if you instruct it to do so. If you are using the latest version of CLAN, then one problem could be that the "File In" button was not used to select data file(s) for analyses. Another problem could be that file "Negativewords.cut" does not exists by that exact name or that "working" or "lib" button in Commands window is not set correctly. Since you are not reporting the exact error message that CLAN give, I can not be more specific. If you are using the latest version of CLAN, then after you run  the command below, please copy all CLAN output from "CLAN Output" window to your email and send it to me. It would be even better if you could also attach the "Negativewords.cut" file to that email.
Leonid.

Thank you so much Leonid!  I re-downloaded the new version of CLAN and that fixed the problem!
