Dear Home school Parents
As we come to the end of 2024 we are doing a follow up on all high
school students.
Please note most of our notifications go out on our cetgoogle mail
platform, if you have not been receiving these mails you are missing
important notifications.
There are two main graduation options that you can follow - ICCE or
Lighthouse Christian Academy. I am attaching the details for each
option. If you are needing any further information regarding either of
these options please get back to me.
Please consider which graduation route you are intending taking given
the limitations of both.
While we once received "letters of comparability from Zimsec" for the
ICCE General and Advanced levels, Zimsec no longer issue these. This
does limit access to certain tertiary institutions locally. Please
check that this qualification will open the doors for your child's
tertiary studies.
Lighthouse Christian Academy College Preparatory Diploma is currently
being accepted into SA universities. Please confirm with your intended
tertiary choice, that this qualification will help you get there.
Things are constantly changing, we try to keep up to date as far as
possible, but we are relying on you as parents to map the way forward
for your child and to choose options based on the doors that either of
these qualifications will open.
For some students doing the G.E.D. - General Education Diploma may be
the right option. I have attached details of this too for your
information. We do have an examination centre for the G.E.D. in Harare.

accredited but not by UK accrediting bodies, this limits the
opportunities this certificate may offer. South African universities
will not consider this certificate for enrolment.

by USA accrediting bodies. Please confirm with your intended tertiary
choice, that this qualification will help you get there.
