I am looking for the EV-1. Does anyone have any idea where this is typically located?

Do you mean you have the EV-1 installed on your boat and you’re looking for the computer unit? I have the older SPX-10 autopilot and the computer is installed inside the starboard aft lazarette. It’s mounted on the wall that is the back wall of the aft cabin. Since the computer unit is connected to the drive unit it is usually close by. The drive unit connects to the rudder shaft in the same lazarette.

Always great info on this forum. But personally, I would lift up the phone and call Catalina's "tech" dept and inquire as to options/suggestions. Also, the company that Catalina utilizes to install electronics is Ocean Equipment. Great individuals They certainly can help as well...541-318-1272

Excellent advice. That’s where I turn first.

Has anyone had any experiences dealing with Catalina warranty recently? I purchased a new 355 in April (it was a leftover 2024) and as with all new boats, irrespective of manufacturer, problems occur. I had issues with water intruding into my bilge, fiberglass chips, and even tank sensors that were never connected at the factory. So much for manufacturer inspections. Dealer issues are a different story so I am focusing on Catalina. It seems that you must go thru your dealer, who then goes to Catalina for reimbursement...They give dealers credits to their accounts, versus payments. Fine. But I have experienced issues since my purchase, had to hire local vendors to service the boat per my dealer and escalated it to Catalina (at my own dealers request believe it or not). I realize it's a company that was recently purchased, changes were made, Frank is no longer alive, etc, etc.Having owned a number of Catalina sailboats before,  but.....there was no issue in receiving my checks and on dates that they required for the purchase. Meanwhile I did communicate with Catalina and escalated it to Patrick, the President. His Linked In profile indicates he is customer focused...I have sent him emails directly requesting the status of my claims (which Catalina warranty staff said was all good and proper with required documentation but requires his final sign off) and have not heard back from him. Not even an acknowledgement that he or his team are looking into it, etc.  Any experiences or thoughts. Incredible. How do you ignore a customer who just bought a new boat from your company? I guess it's a new world. Thoughts?

I have hull #164. Took delivery in early 2022. Had a number of issues resulting in warranty claims.

In my experience, the warranty is worthless.
