bVNC will not connect on my Android Tablet

I used to be able to use launch bVNC (free version) automatically within R for simple graphics commands which was really useful. However, this no longer works seemingly because the connection for bVNC fails. The start of the error message says:

“Connection to VNC server failed with reason: Connection refused java.net.ConnectException. Connection refused at java.net.PlainSocketlmpl.socketConnect(Native Method) at java.net.AbstractPlainSocketSocketlmpl.doConnect(AbstractPlainSocketlmpl.java:334) at....”

I uninstalled/reinstalled bVNC but that hasn't fixed it. I am running Android 7.1.1.

Very grateful for any pointers on how to overcome the issue. Many thanks.

Hi Darren,

Please try older releases from here:

https://github.com/iiordanov/remote-desktop-clients/releases

If they don't work, it's your server that became unreachable, not bVNC that failed.
