32 long line twist

Looking for advice on the best twist rate for 32 S&W Long revolver barrel.

This is a project to bring a K-32 back to life and use just for giggles at club matches. I want to use the right twist rate to get stability out to the long line using 100-120 grain bullets.

Your thoughts are much appreciated.

Well I'm not going to pipe in then have the list members ambush me when I get it wrong. Dave Wilson builds aftermarket barrels for many different type of .32. Which is the "best" I don't know.

Not sure if Dave still monitors the list regularly. (anyone have his contact info?)

I do know you may get lucky and be able to use something like an inexpensive AK-47 barrel
I think their groove diameter is 0.311~0.313

Whats wrong with what you have?

The model 16 is rare and expensive...unless it's bulged or worse why mess with it

The key to 32s is proper reloading

It's bulged. And it's a pre model 16. I have about settled on a 1:10 twist rate and nominal 1.8 grains of BE.

1.8 gr BE is an excellent load.  I tried a box of 

Federal Champion and they were fantastically accurate.  I pulled one cartridge and the bullet was 98 gr HBWC at .3095 with 1.89 of what matched BE exactly in size, shape and color.  25-yards, hand hold on soft bag, one ragged hole  about 1.0" , fired from GSP pistol.
