Open ephys plotting window number of samples shown

Hi!

Just curious if there is a way to increase the amount of samples/data that can be plotted in the open ephys plotting windows?  I see that I can change the axes sizes but it looks like the amount of data plotted remains the same. I'm sure this is to keep things running smoothly but I can't see enough of my window to see changes in LFP. Ideally the plotting window sizes in open ephys would be possible.

Am I missing some easy step in doing this??

Hi Amina,

Yes, if I understand correctly, you can do this by right-clicking the visualizer window, going into the small arrow drop-box in the bottom-right corner and changing the History Length parameter:

Basically this controls how many buffers are simultaneously stored for visualization in the plot. It will then be a trade-off then between performance and number of points, but Bonsai tries to help a little bit by decimating/dithering zoomed out data that is above 1000 points, so you should be able to see LFP activity no problem.
