Looking at the incremental update + the obnoxiously prohibitive pricing of iPhones, I won’t be surprised if I get my hands on the next iteration of BlackBerry Key series 🙊🙈

Every year after iPhone launch I used to become an 'old uncle from society' and rant about how android did it long back and stuffs.
This year I wasn't even bothered :D seems like apple outdid them self this time.... :D :D

My one apple maniac friend has been waiting for ages for a dual SIM phone, so obviously I had to call him and ask, so which feature are you excited for this year, a lot of fancy words or more storage, or ability to make your face like bear or monkey better 🤣🤣🤣🤣

He got angry ( obviously) said STFU dual sim is here and I am getting it, and hung up.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Well, as I’ve always said, and I’d reiterate - “I’m OS agnostic”, I use what suits my needs :)
And between droid and iOS, the latter is the clear winner for me :)
Having said, Android P looks good, I’ve been fiddling around with my wife’s Pixel XL2, and it’s kinda growing on me.
Moreover, spending close to a lakh of a ₹ (this is if I get the XS Max 64gb from abroad) for a gadget with a short life - at least for me (max I’ve used a phone is for 18-20mths, one was Nokia E61, and another one was BlackBerry Passport) is totally unwarranted and unreasonable.
It’s not about affordability, but wise spending. Which, with the current pricing looks totally absurd, especially after the ₹ vs $ carnage.

I’ve always been of the opinion that 35-40k should be the cap for my spend for cellphones. Which, of course I breached with iPhone 8+.

I was expecting Apple to introduce fast charging. I wonder what under the sky is keeping them away from including that in their phones.

But yes, I know even after people ranting about these prohibitive pricing, there would still be never ending queues outside Apple stores / scores of people would pre-order these new set of iPhones.

To end this long email, I’d just say -I might {read might in capital letters ;) } bid adieu to iOS and hop over to the greener pasture 🙃.

The word greener pastures sounds gray to me. What exactly do you mean. Please remove the shade of doubt from your words.

Exactly......
Phones shouldn't cross the 55K mark unless they have any exceptional feature. It's just pointless....

The next day it was announced, I heard two guys talking in metro, and by their attire they seemed to be working with some MNC, one said that I have to cut down a couple of things from my routine, for the new iphone. And the guy suggested to get it on EMI and then he told "gaffar me bhi EMI dete hi honge" and the other guy replied back that of course it will be EMI only can't ever buy iphone without that, or else will come on street.
I really felt bad for the guy, why but something that you can't afford or have to make cutbacks on the already shoestring budget.
And then next year or maybe next to next year the cycle will repeat again.

This credit card and emi is like selling the soul .... Buy something you can't afford.

I’m completely against EMI for luxuries, unless EMIs get you a good deal on the product. Like in case of my wife’s Pixel XL2, I was getting a better deal after clubbing the cash back on Credit Card, otherwise its a strict No-No.
