New year; new problem :-)

My (now 15 years old; how time flies) Jabsco twist-lock manual toilet is leaking. It appears to be coming from the base. I suspect it’s end-of-life for the toilet.

I assume the easiest solution is a drop-in replacement that will hopefully match the existing bolt pattern. But what do the bolts screw into? Are there nuts under the deck that I have to worry about?

Thanks!

Thanks! Is it fixed in place? Nothing to make me get underneath the combing?

On the 331 the fasteners are lag bolts bolted directly I the glass base,
.Most mfg’s bolt patterns are the same, but make sure of hose runs. These big (old) hoses are hard to relocate.

My understanding is that, as old as it is and given the Texas environment, there is a high chance the base is cracked or will crack soon.  Is that not correct?

A complete rebuild kit is about $120, new toilet is $200. Leaking from the bottom means you have to pretty much rebuild the whole thing, easier (and cleaner) just to replace.

On my '06 B343 I had a leaky twistlock and an original round bowl. The cost of an entire new oblong bowl unit was not much more that a new twistlock part.
Direct replacemet took about 30 minutes.
Also, don't forget to replace the original joker valve with the red Raritan #C253 joker valve, The original 3 wing unit sucks. I replaced with original 3 times in two years and always failed. Replaced with the Raritan 17 years ago and still no failure!
