Inquiry for submission format

Dear Organizers,

Hope this email finds you well. 

I am Zhengfei, I would like to check the submission format for the test set, will the model generate a new sense_id tag in the output or randomly define one? If so, is that a random sense id or any specific format? Sorry for any delay if previous answers have solved this.

Hi Zhengfei,

Not sure I understood your question.

If you are asking about the format of the Codalab submissions for
Subtask 1, then your model should predict sense ids for all the usages
from the "new" time period. These sense ids should either come from the
existing inventory for the "old" time period or can be created by you
(if your model thinks this usage is an example of a novel sense). How
exactly the novel senses will be named, is completely up to you, just be
consistent in assigning one and the same sense to the usages in this sense.
