Hi All,
It has been a while…. Pi Day is coming up, on a Saturday this year.  How’s about a lunch 3/14?  If the weekend is an issue we could do 3/13, but it sounds more rational, even though both are prime.

Enough of the trying to be clever — who’s up for lunch on 3/14 or 3/13?

Take care,
Bill

I could do either 13 or 14.

Great!  For those keeping track, I’ve received 2 ‘yes’ responses (Dick and Priscilla) for 3/14, so that’s the date, and there are at least 3 of us attending.

Time/place, I’d suggest Pi and Vine at 11:30.

Good idea! I can do it. I think Alan might join us. 3/14.

All: I’d be OK at 12:30; assume that is the time and let us all know if that works.

Only issue might be getting a table since the OSF season opens the week prior with the first several shows.

I’m (tentatively) in for 3/14 at 12:30. Was there a decision on venue? Are there OSF plays scheduled for around lunch time on that day?

Venue: Pi (Pie) and vine.

Yes, shows start at 1:30; see screen grab below…

Is this still on? I have a local friend who would like to join us as well.

Hi Harlan,
Yes - Pi-day lunch at 12:30 on Saturday at Pi(e) and Vine.

Can y’all pipe up if you’re coming so that the first people there know how big a table to commandeer? I think we had: myself, Priscilla, Allen, Dick, and Eric.

I’m game. Several times have been proposed. No longer a conflict with the theater since shows are canceled for the next 4 weeks 😩.

Hi All,
We’ve had some undesirables cancel due to caution with respect to Corona (not the beer).  I totally understand and want to make sure that everyone knows we won’t think any less of anybody in this group for being cautious.

Frankly, I’m quite a bit more concerned about catching a computer virus from people in this group, but I acknowledge that the health risk isn’t zero.  I doubt it will be crowded; there are no OSF shows and people are staying home in droves.

I’m in the process of writing an article dealing with the latest Bluetooth hack (Sweyntooth), so hazard and risk are very much in my brain.

So let me know; I’m OK with postponing lunch until we’re all through this if we’d rather celebrate pi day by running in circles at home and practicing irrational behavior.

General feedback is that the lunch isn’t worth the risk at this time, and I totally understand that.

Therefore, PI DAY LUNCH IS CANCELLED this year.  I’m sorry and I’ll try to get us all together when the risk is gone.

Stay safe and (roughly) circular!

Thanks everyone for playing it safe.
