I'm helping with a national Winlink educational group, and I was wondering how I could have APRS.FI show *only* the Winlink GPS Position Reports, e.g....

shows the last time I sent out a Winlink GPS Position Report, from Winlink Express, and is displayed as a "P" inside of a red diamond.

is there a way I could create a URL that would have APRS.FI show only these stations?

thanks!

There's no current way to make a URL, or share filters, but it is possible
to set up a filter. The winlink stations seem to all originate with a
source callsign of WINLINK (they're APRS objects), so:

- tap the "funnel" filter button on the right edge of the map view
- tap "+" to add a custom filter
- select filter type "source callsign", enter WINLINK as the source
callsign
- tap Save
- disable the "All stations" filter to only show the winlink stations

If you wish to reuse the filters quickly, you can save the list with "Save
as new list".

The same feature exists in the iOS app.

Thanks very much for the detailed instructions, Hessu.

However, it doesn't show the *mobile* stations who are sending a Position Report, marked on the map with a <P> symbol.

It *does* seem to show a lot of the Winlink Gateways, marked with a <W> symbol.

when I inspect the information posted along with my own Position Report, such as:

it seems to have been originated by "APWL2K", not "WINLINK"

When I attempt to filter by "Source Callsign" set to "APWL2K", no stations appear, including my own, in the Seattle Washington area.

Is it possible to search on the <P> symbol?  or whatever causes your mapping software to display that symbol?

Thanks!

Hi,

When I inspect the information from your own position report:

https://aprs.fi/#!mt=roadmap&z=11&call=a%2FN6NBN&timerange=3600&tail=3600

That packet is certainly *sourced* by WINLINK, and the *destination*
callsign is APWL2K. I think you got them backwards in the filter. It says
"N6NBN (from WINLINK)", and the path (destination call, digipeaters) is
[APWL2K via TCPIP*,qAC,T2CAEAST].

You can either do a source callsign filter with WINLINK, or maybe a
destination callsign with APWL2K.

All of those winlink raw packets can be seen here:

https://aprs.fi/?c=raw&call=WINLINK

And your last packet source callsign, destination call can be seen with
the label "Last path:" on the info page at https://aprs.fi/info/a/N6NBN

Last path: WINLINK>APWL2K via TCPIP*,qAC,T2CAEAST

Source callsign is WINLINK, destination callsign is APWL2K.

If I do a filter for source callsign of WINLINK, it does show your station
(N6NBN), as long as it has been transmitted within the selected time
period (Show last: 1 hour). Right now I had to bump it up a bit since your
last transmission was more than 1 hour ago.
